25 Units of Daikin Air Purifiers Donated to Ministry of Health

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Health has received a donation of 25 Daikin Air Purifiers that are to be installed at hospitals treating Covid-19 patients. The Ministry says the air purifiers will be a “gesture of gratitude and appreciation towards the notable and invaluable efforts of all medical and frontline healthcare workers”.

The donation was made possible by the Managing Director of GA Aircon, Dr. Trang Ly and the General Manager of Daikin Cambodia, Goh Kah Hean. Daikin has donated a total of 260 air purifiers to 23 hospitals and healthcare centres in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Cambodia this year.

The company says the pndemic has challenged every country in the world and that health systems are being stretched by increasing demand for care of Covid-19 patients. It says many infection cases, especially the Delta variant, have raised “higher levels of concern ab out our healthcare infrastructure and frontline workers who have been struggling and contributing their best effort to taking care of the patients”.

Daikin Cambodia is hoping the air purifiers will keep environments clean at hospitals. The air purifiers remove allergens and other harmful substances from the air, including mold, mites and pollen.
